Mark Foreman is a graduate of The Royal College of Art. He is currently a senior lecturer on the BA (Hons) Illustration course at Falmouth University, and works from the art studio once occupied by famous British artist Ben Nicholson. Using mediums such as a dip pen Indian ink, acrylics, coloured inks, print and collage, his highly illustrative works are inspired by his many travels.
I love discovering the local history of the locations I draw: it brings more depth to the drawings I produce. Looking down at the harbour with its scattering of small boats I remember the old photos of the great wooden luggers filling St Ives harbour and can’t help wish they would suddenly reappear.
