Michael Rees
Construction Painting
Michael Rees is influenced by the work of artists such as Paul Klee, Mark Rothko, Francis Bacon and Giacometti. His deeply enigmatic paintings of lone or paired figures on coarsely textured canvas and board, as well is his curious assemblages, carry a rich expression of atmosphere and human emotion.
