Nicola's curious works are known for their dark humour and underlying sense of the absurd, where human figures, animals and flowers are brought together to express intriguing and sometimes unsettling psychological narratives. Nicola Bealing studied at Byam Shaw School of Art, London, and in 2013 she received The Threadneedle Prize First Impressions Award. Her work is held in the British Museum and Jerwood Contemporary Collections.
