Patricia Volk
Sculpture
Patricia Volk uses the techniques of coiling and slab building to make ceramic sculptures which are fired and then finished with brightly coloured acrylic paint. The juxtapositions of her striking sculptural forms suggest contradictions of strength and fragility, stability and precariousness, giving them each an individual character and reflecting the oddity of relationships between human beings.
