Ceramics Sculpture

Stephanie Cunningham makes ceramic sculptures which reflect a life lived around animals. Her ceramic forms are stylised in order to emphasize the unique power, elegance or grace of each animal, or to convey a familiar holding of the body or movement of the head, perhaps a familiar or comical movement, or a deep sense of peace in a resting form.

I find my inspiration from the shape and movement physically and spiritually in the creatures that surround us. The way a body holds itself whether in motion or stillness. A look or gesture will speak to me and inspire me to capture that moment.
