Will Calver
Painting
Will Calver’s still-life ‘alla prima’ paintings explore the iconic presence of everyday objects and are made from direct observation and drawings. Spacious compositions and an extraordinary skill for interpreting light and form give these simple paintings of quince, lemons, peaches, pebbles and ceramic cups a beauty and power rarely seen in the contemporary art today.
Will Calver graduated from Falmouth University in 2019. He is now based in Kent and Cornwall.
