Neil Canning | Sense of Space

For our St Ives September Festival exhibition, we present a new collection by artist Neil Canning which reflects how being surrounded by the Atlantic Ocean impacts his work as a painter. Through the language of abstraction, these works explore the ways in which the sea influences the dynamics of every painting, allowing him to create a world of floating forms and a sense of freedom.

Artist Talk

In the context of Neil’s fascination with the dynamism and drama of West Penwith, Neil will discuss the fine balance between the painted surface and the moment in time that it reflects.

Time: 2.30pm Weds 18th September, and 2.30pm Weds 25th September

Location: New Craftsman Gallery, 24 Fore St, St Ives, Cornwall, TR26 1HE
