Akiko Hirai shortlisted for Loewe craft prize
Ceramicist Akiko Hirai is among 29 artists nominated for this year’s LOEWE Foundation Craft Prize. The prize, of 50,000 euros, will be presented to the winner on 25 June at the opening of the 2019 Loewe Craft Prize exhibition in Tokyo.
Forest + Found receive Jerwood Foundation nomination
Forest + Found artists Max Bainbridge and Abigail Booth are amongst 12 nominees to receive £8,000 commissions to make new work for the Jerwood Foundation’s 2019 exhibition at the Jerwood Space, London. The show will then tour nationally.
